Hi...I'm Rebekah.
I could start by introducing myself as a Therapist and listing my credentials and training to tell you about all the ways that I am qualified to support you, but that's probably the last thing you need right about now. You more than likely need someone who is simply willing to sit in your grief with you and listen, hand you a tissue if you need it and just be there with you without judgement.
Everyone's journey, my own included, is shaped by the losses that we experience. Each of those losses leaves deep and permanent marks on our hearts and in our lives. The world around us expects us to move on way to fast and no matter how many years pass, somehow that grief never truly goes away.
I am not here to pretend I can take your pain away, but I am here to tell you my own painful losses have taught me the value of compassion and given me the courage to seek and provide support along with the strength to heal. I don't just sit with you as a professional - I walk with you as someone who understands what it means to feel broken, lost and unsure of what's next.
My goal is for every client is for you to feel safe, seen and heard from the minute you step into my office. This is your journey, you set the pace. I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental and nurturing space where you can safely explore your emotions, process experiences and find ways to reconnect with hope. I believe in the power of collaboration, honoring your individual resilience and agency in your healing process. All you need to bring with you for your first session is a deep breath, and an open mind. I'll provide the comfy space, a pillow if you need, tissue for sure, tea if you want and together we can start on your path to healing. I am honored to be a part of your journey.
